The Dining Commons has a dedicated Vegetarian entree station which acted as the Meatless Monday station. This Fall we're going BIG!

Not only will the vegetarian station be Meatless on Mondays, but so will the Expeditions and Classics station! (Three of our nine entree stations will be meatless at the start of each week)

     * Meat will still be served at the taqueria, pizzaria, and deli

Otter Bay Restaurant new meatless dish every Monday

Otter Express will highlight veggie burgers

Library Cafe will highlight hummus wraps

 

 

Meatless Monday

An educational promotion allowing students, faculty, and staff the option of pledging to go "meatless" (or vegetarian) - on Mondays!

Campus Dining introduced Meatless Mondays to CSUMB in August of 2010 and continue to carry on the promotion in Spring 2012 with a healthier, tastier, Meatless Monday menu!

In Fall of 2010 over 500 students, faculty, and staff took the pledge to go meatless...and it was easy! Especially when all four Dining Locations are highlighting, offering, and adding vegetarian dishes on Mondays!

Why Meatless?

Going meatless once a week may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. It can also help reduce your carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel. (read more...)
